Neon Vectors – ‘Cyber Love’ EP

Dance producer continues hot streak with gloriously groovy new 4-track EP

Ever since dropping her incredible debut album Bigger Grooves (which made our 50 Best Albums of 2019 list), rising dance producer Neon Vectors has enthralled fans with a handful of one-off tracks, including vibrant and swooning bangers “Hopefully” and “Loving U.” With everyone (including dance music fiends) shuttered under quarantine – and desperately in need of some kind of makeshift living room rave – Neon Vectors is here to our temporary rescue with her latest gloriously funky four-track EP Cyber Love.

In addition to previously-released faves “Neon Disco” and the sparkling “The Way u Make Me Feel,” Cyber Love contains new tracks “Facetime Tonite” and “Love Ringtone.” Packaged together, all these tracks capture a wistful heart-on-your-sleeve intimacy that’s groovy and irresistible. “Facetime Tonite” fuses noodling disco guitars, sweeping strings and propulsive house beats, while “Love Ringtone” brings the lounge-funk heat with soaring saxophones and floating keyboards. As always, Neon Vectors proves to be a master at wrangling countless nostalgic impulses through a dreamy, hyper-modern, vapor-tinged production approach; jazz, future-funk, nu-disco, and soul textures all coalesce around explosive four-on-the-floor beats. Overall, Cyber Love is exactly what we need right now – an energetic, tender-loving dance party to alleviate the isolation blues.

And apparently this one’s just a warm-up, as Neon Vectors has revealed she’s gearing up to release her new LP, which she says is “almost done” and may arrive sometime later this year. When that album drops, we’ll be sure to bring you full coverage. In the meantime, you can purchase Cyber Love HERE, and listen to “Facetime Tonite” below.
