New Dirty Projectors song sounds exactly like the Dirty Projectors

Not long after announcing a short tour with dad band The National, The Dirty Projectors have made a new song available for download on iTunes and stream on SoundCloud. In January, the band released a limited edition 7″ called Offspring Are Blank that could be found at their Carnegie Hall show, and have since decided to throw the mp3 entitled “There's A Fire” into the internet wild.

If you're interested in getting a physical copy, you can check that out on Domino. Otherwise, take a listen to the new track here. Utilizing all of our favorite Dirty Projectors tricks—syncopated rhythms, flustered and unfiltered guitar lines, and six-part harmonies—”There's A Fire” ends up sounding exactly like a Dirty Projectors song. No complaints here. A full rundown of the DP's coming tour is listed below the stream.
