Pharmakon, “Crawling on Bruised Knees”

Post Author:
Pharmakon, Abandon

Pharmakon aka Margaret Chardiet has been making waves in the underground experimental scene since the project was first conceived 6 years ago. Her music is dark and intense, each sound carefully crafted and measured to bring about a desired effect. She helped found the Red Light District Collective in Far Rockaway living and working with artists such as Yellow Tears and Halflings. She's released a few tapes, a 7″ and a CD-R in that time, more recently relocating to the lofts at 538 Johnson in Bushwick in the wake of Sandy.

Now at 22 years old, Margaret has announced her debut LP Abandon with Sacred Bones Records. Engineered by Cult of Youth's Sean Ragon at Heaven Street, the 5-song release is the first set of proper studio recordings by the artist. Abandon is set to be released May 14, preview the first single off the record “Crawling on Bruised Knees” and check out the upcoming tour dates below.
