Rust Worship, the project of noise-maker Paul Haney, released an excerpt from the B side of Terrestrial Society, his upcoming cassette on House of Alchemy. Terrestrial Society was recorded live on WKCR in June 2011. Haney combines synths, vocals, white noise, and plenty of other unidentifiable sounds to create a surreal, dream like piece thats best listened to in the dark. Waves of different sounds fade in and out, drifting back and forth like the present, and a memory. Although “Side B” is often pure noise, there are some melodic moments, and when they hit, they make a big impression. Stream “Side B” below.
