Seattle band Beat Connection haven’t dropped anything new since their 2012 debut LP, Palace Garden. That was, until late this Spring, when they self-released “Hesitation”, a silky tropicalia-laced nu-disco track worth more than the sum of its drum machine claps and tin drum splatter. Today, we’re happy to premiere Bay Area DJ/Producer Mikos Da Gawd’s loyal-to-the-original remix, where he takes the track a step further into disco’s more pulsing territory, perhaps closer to Beat Connection’s earlier sounds.
With the bulk of their dates behind them for now, Beat Connection plays the Capitol Hill Block Party (with Chromeo) in Seattle, July 26, and Austin City Limits on October 11. Stream the remix below.
