The digital mastering company was on hand to record the evening, ensuring the fidelity was high, and capturing every rambunctious between-set chant of “420.”
Los Angeles’s Meishi Smile fused noise and j-pop into a hyperreal warp of anxious dance, spinning at dizzying RPMs, while fellow LA-dweller Monster Rally massaged our eardrums with his blend of exotica sampled on the SP-404. The night ventured across the electronic spectrum with performers of varying regions that included HYDRABADD of Atlanta, Hot Sugar of New York City, and Ellie Herring of Louisville, among others.
