The Pitch Invaders – “Mr. Bond”

Electro-leaning artist drops solo tongue-in-cheek rocker

Back at the start of 2018 we were introduced to multi-instrumentalist and producer Ryan Magnusson as one half of the duo Kick & Casonka. Now, the electro-inclined artist is back with a different moniker, The Pitch Invaders, and a delightfully tongue-in-cheek rocker “Mr. Bond.” Impose has the premiere of the track here today.

On “Mr. Bond,” Magnusson challenges the machismo figure with an undeniable rhythm tailor made to sneak a smile onto any stuffed up suit. The earworm of a track builds towards a chorus you’ll be hard pressed to get out of your head any time soon.

“This song was a blast (pun intended) to write and record. It started as a general rebuke of people that carry themselves too seriously and was only going to briefly reference James Bond,” he explains. “But there was just too much material there for him to only get a brief mention. You grow up idolizing someone like James Bond and then you go back and watch some of these movies as an adult and you’re like, wow, he’s kind of a douchebag isn’t he? Why didn’t anyone tell me that?”
