The Tins, “Friday Afternoon”

Post Author:

Buffalo’s indie pop-rock trio The Tins – comprised of Adam Stanley (vocals, guitar), Michael Francis (keyboards, vocals), and David Muntner (drums) – have been working on some new material for us. While they gear up to head out on the road with Tele Novella, they’ve passed along their latest single, “Friday Afternoon”, for exclusive premiere.

We know it’s not Friday, but this is a song to enjoy any day of the week. The composition of the song itself just gives off a carefree feeling. “If you want to / We can get together / Friday afternoon / We can do whatever” are the first lyrics addressed in the song, and we’re immediately drawn into this idyllic world where we, ourselves, are invited to hang out on a Friday. The song is replete with sweet, innocent vocals, and we can’t help but feel like it’s time to make weekend plans.

The single cover was created by Wes Tyrell, internationally renowned artist and president of the Association of Canadian Cartoonists.
