Wyland, “Lights Go Dark”

Post Author:

“Light Go Dark” is the first single off of Wyland’s upcoming EP entitled “Snake Hill”.  The quartet from New Jersey, whose members include Ryan Sloan (vocals/guitar/piano), Mauricio Salazar (guitar), Zach Calidonna (bass) and Chris Luna (drums), have created an alternative tune with soaring lyrics that really speak to the listener.  Although they have drawn comparisons to Coldplay and The Lumineers, Wyland has a style that appears to cut across  genres.  Give them a listen.

Ryan Sloan had quite a bit to say about the track itself.

I feel like there are moments in life where things spontaneously come together in such way that you can’t help but look up and say ‘thank you’. This song was one of those moments. You know, we live our lives like many people do. We wake up, we go to work and then we come home, sometimes defeated. Then we spend the night dreaming of what and who we want to be. This song is about adventuring out and becoming that what and who.

Keep up with Wyland on Facebook.
