Virtually ungoogleable NYC post-punk outfit YOU. has just teased their upcoming Dais debut Sunchaser with the head bob-inducing jammer, “Feral.”
Dark, goth-tinged synthwave that’s nostalgic in all the right ways, it’s an ’80s-inspired, fuzz-laden single that’s propelled by a forceful guitar riff that’s as rambunctious as it is catchy. Dramatic vocals layered above buzzing background effects, it’s a modern twist on post-punk whine that screams reverbed Robert Smith reincarnate. It’s certainly a wild one.
