Deep Cuts to host Silent Barn benefit photo exhibit

Silent barn photo benefit

This one is sort of like the insider trading of benefits for the Silent Barn. Deep Cuts is a record store in Ridgewood, Queens that got its humble beginnings at the Barn. They’re hosting a photo exhibit and BBQ tomorrow, Saturday, October 24 featuring a bevy of photographers who have graced these pages of Impose. The photos will be sold, with all proceeds (and a portion from the BBQ sales) going to the reconstruction of the Silent Barn after the fire they endured late last month. The Silent Barn is back to hosting shows, but they still need help getting the apartments rebuilt and up to code, with many of the residents still displaced.

The list of participating photographers include some of our earliest contributors in Nate Dorr and Tod Seelie, organizer Walter Wlodarczyk, as well as our incredible photo editors, Edwina Hay and Eric Phipps, and many of their contemporaries we’re proud to call friends. It all starts at 2:00pm and the show will stay up through November.
