As we have previously established, Michael Goldman has been killin’ it with all of his projects lately. Most notable of all is his solo project NONA. In honor of International Women’s Day, NONA created a cover of Beyoncé’s “Hold Up” and shoot a music video to go along with it. Not only that, but he’s partnered with Los Angeles-based indie label WAX LTD to donate all proceeds from the purchase of the cover to Planned Parenthood.
I think this is something we can all get on board with.
Not only that, but the video is honestly entrancing. While he parallels some of the aspects of Beyoncé’s original video, there are also some stark differences that make his realization of the track much more politically-driven. Explains Goldman, “The video adds this whole other realm of creative potential, and really depicts what my goal was from the start, which was to pay respects to those working to affect change.”
We dig it.

Keep up with NONA here.
