Roulette scores an Art Deco space in downtown Brooklyn

Venerable experimental music venue Roulette has moved to Atlantic and Third Avenues in downtown Brooklyn, and plans to hold the inaugural concert of its 33rd season sometime in the Spring of 2011.

Steeped in 20's Art Deco, the venue has a capacity of over 600 and promises to showcase “emerging and mature composers,” as well as more well-known artists and “more ambitious stagings of opera and music theater works” which require longer runs.

In the meantime, the space needs renovation, and you can help by skipping your organic iced pineapple rooibos for a few days and making a donation.
