Sofia Acosta, aka COAST2C, is a painter and a DJ. Clearly one of numerous creative accomplishments, she has also dabbled in endeavors such as being a radio host, a booking agent, and taking up residency in the Mexico City club circuit. Her sound is transcendent, fun, and undeniably intense.
About the mix, Sofia had this to say:
One Friday night I decided to stay in and I made this mixtape. It came out in a very organic way and it was a very easy and smooth process selecting the songs. Some of the tracks (and labels) come from close peers that I admire and have inspired me lately, both from Mexico and Portland. “Fine line” is a blend between different approaches to techno music. From music created with analog machines to conceptual and political themes, abstract and dance music.
