Occupy Wall Street's 1-Year Anniversary Begins This Weekend

Post Author:

One year after its inception, Occupy Wall Street is celebrating it's anniversary with teach-ins, concerts, and a massive coordinated direct action designed to shut down the world's financial epicenter. Those of you griping about the “point” of Occupy Wall Street, or wondering why it hasn't done anything recently obviously didn't listen to this year's State of the Union, or hear about the Millionaire's Tax, or aren't concerned about Mitt Romney's taxes, or… need we continue?

The full schedule of events can be found here, as well as a map of the coordinated actions taking place to shut down Wall Street on Monday morning. The full press release is republished below. Are you going to help activists stop capitalism's dark heart from beating, if only for a few moments? Or are you going to tell your grandchildren that you were sleeping during the revolution?
