The new record from British producer Patten is called GLAQJO XAACSSO, released in early October on No Pain in Pop. It's a large, chunky, landscape of composed, triggered, machinatic melodies riding and fattening the dark, thick mark between experimental music and dance. We asked him to assemble a list of some of his favorite tracks in advance of his upcoming concert celebrating the album's release on January 19th in London. He submitted this list without comment.

Ciccone Youth – '(silence)' (1988)

John Lennon 'Nutopian International Anthem' (1973)

James Holden – 'Intentionally Left Blank' (2006)

Fantômas 'Page 13' (1999)

Boards of Canada 'Magic Window' (2002)

John Cage – '4'33″' (1947)
