Amanda X Spring Tour

Post Author: Impose Automaton

Philadelphia's Amanda X went on the road recently to support their exciting, succinct 6-song EP Ruin The Moment, driving hundreds of Eastern miles in a Ford Explorer appropriately dubbed the “Amanda X-plorer.” The newly rising trio booked a 9-day tour with friends and friends' bands that hit dates all along the coast, from Philly all the way down to Atlanta. Wherever the group went, they brought their signature style of sweetened-up 90s garage girlpunk, making for several shows of satisfied listeners, men in dresses, and a proclamation of the return to Breeders-level greatness in music.

Amanda X has a host of shows coming up that you can check out below, including a well-placed appearance at this weekend's Ladyfest Philly. The group plays on Friday night at The Rotunda and will be selling their casettes, CDs, and dope T-shirts plastered with Clueless screenprints. (Keep an eye out for more of our Ladyfest Philly coverage this week and next.) Amanda X will be releasing their full-length record sometime early next spring, so when the pink blossoms start to bud and jean shorts are again in season, swing by your local record store for a copy.
