Black Milk at Santos Party House

On Wednesday, October 9th, Detroit rapper Black Milk's No Poison No Paradise tour hit Santos Party House for Noisey's The Rap Party. Black Milk played for well over an hour and was backed by Nat Turner, a live band that excellently translated tracks from his extensive catalog while also previewing songs from No Poison No Paradise. Joining him on this tour and on stage was fellow Detroit rapper (currently living a nomadic lifestyle which has seen him in NY and LA recently) Quelle Chris who played cuts from his first album of 2013, Niggas is Men, and the forthcoming Ghost at the FInish Line. Dopplegangaz were also on the bill, fresh from their appearance at A3C hip-hop festival in Atlanta and were joined on stage by “Amber Rose” (really should update that to Miley Cyrus) and Black Dave who had issues with security for not letting his crew in and who was also frustrated by the sound and the lights but performed until his mic was shut off.

Black Milk, Quelle Chris and a live band? Yes, please.
