On Thursday, April 17th, Detroit MC Black Milk brought his tour to The Studio at Webster Hall. Backed by 4 piece band Nat Turner, Black Milk played songs from his previous album No Poison, No Paradise and his newest release (which came out on Record Store Day 2014) Glitches in the Break. Unlike many of his peers, Black Milk is a hardworking performer and his live shows are non-stop affairs which can last for well over an hour. This was no different as he capped his show by taking audience requests for an encore.
He was joined on stage by Long Island's Roc Marciano who not only brought a full compliment of friends on stage, he squeezed on Man Bites Dog label mate AG Da Coroner. A late addition to the bill was Impose Magazine favorite YC The Cynic who performed without his projections, managing to hold everyone's rapt attention regardless. Opening the night was Final Outlaw who was a firebrand of quick rhymes, and intense, passionate, banter which hyped the crowd. Final Outlaw is not one to be missed.
