On the second day we started the late afternoon off proper with Coast Jumper who made some upbeat tunes with that vocal seashell sound effect used on precise occasion. Next up were the Soft Swells who did a cover of “Caroline No” out of the blue and Picture Atlantic kept Pacific energy alive with East Coast leanings.
Preteen started the night at DuNord with a cacophony of guitars as a jangly Rickenbacker sound emerged from the wreckage. Tamba Ray brought energy, instrumental change ups and a whole of good band team spirit. Melted Toys played their bright guitar to illuminate an eager audience of fan club cliques before Young Prisms' set.
Meanwhile Sonny and the Sunsets chill-pilled the always irie Independent folks as The Fresh & Onlys turned the volume and noise up for some energetic takes on some old classics and I think a few new ones. We 're not sure on that last part other than it was good and loud.
