Shred For Your Life LA 2016 at Union Night Club

Shred For Your Life Guitar Battle hit Los Angeles on December 14 at Union Night Club. This was the second LA edition, the first having taken place in 2007. Randy Randall of NoAge, Josh Landau of The Shrine, and professional skateboarder Justin “Figgy” Figueroa  were among the participants. The judges were quite notable themselves with Matt Sweeney (Guitar Moves, Chavez, Iggy Pop), Don “Nuge” Nguyen (professional skateboarder/musician, ArcticLords of Dogtown), and Blake Anderson (Workaholics, Community). In 2005, the event was created in New York by musician and artist Marc Razo(Endless Boogie) and was held in the back of Max Fish. SFYL has now been challenging 13–54 year olds to shred their best for the past eleven years. The event grew significantly since then and is now sponsored by Bud Light and Fender. Photographer Deborah Farnault was there to capture this epic night and memorable guitar moves.
