The National and Courtney Barnett at the Mann Center

Post Author: Max Sall

On a beautiful and breezy summer evening, The National and Courtney Barnett rolled through the Mann Center in Philadelphia, the wonderful summer home of the Philadelphia Orchestra. Not even a full month after their intimate warm up gig at Union Transfer, The National returned to Philly to kick off their ‘I Am Easy to Find’ tour, which will take the band through December. The new tracks sounded phenomenal, and fans were treated to deep cuts ‘Lemonworld’ and ‘Pink Rabbits,’ which have been setlist rarities on recent tours.

To kick off the show, Courtney Barnett played a fantastic 50-minute set with her trio. Courtney has a new single out called ‘Everybody Here Hates You’ and will be on tour with The National, and on her own, through January.

Two of the biggest acts in indie rock at Philly’s prettiest venue.
