YOKO ONO MORNING PIECE 2015 at MoMA

Post Author: Silvia Saponaro

On Sunday, June 21, Yoko Ono celebrated the 50th anniversary of the original MORNING PIECE performance in New York with an event at the Museum of Modern Art, which is currently running an exhibition called Yoko Ono: One Woman Show, 1960-1971. Taking place during the sunrise, attendees were treated to breakfast and coffee, a DJ set by FLAT WHITE, a live performance by Blood Orange, and an appearance by Ms. Ono herself, all taking place between 4:30-8AM.

Why is Dev Hynes so happy to be performing before 8AM on a Sunday? Probably because he’s honoring Yoko Ono.
