Australian Funk-Rocker HARTS to release U.S. debut

Post Author: Andre G

Already making noise in his native Australia, Funk-Rock upstart HARTS looks to bring his gorgeous falsetto stateside. GQ Australia’s artist of the year recently announced the release of his debut U.S. album, SMOKE FIRE HOPE DESIRE. The project, being described a mesh between the “turn-of-the-century production wizardry of The Neptunes and Timbaland” and “the primal Monterey Pop Festival fret-burning of ’67 Hendrix,” will be out on July 21st via Washington Square/Razor Tie.
To stoke anticipation for the project, HARTS will embark on an 8-date tour in which he scales the country from California to Brooklyn for an August performance at Knitting Factory. HARTS has already unleashed a preview of his sonic dynamism with last year’s hit “Peculiar” single. He recently offered a thoughtful video for the track which underscores the power of music.
