Blanck Mass Announces US Tour

Post Author: Andre G

Following the success of his critically-lauded World Eater LP, Blanck Mass is set to take his third solo project on tour. Today, he announced a 16-date, coast to coast US tour this Fall – after a couple overseas dates. World Eater has been described as “kicking against a year teeming with anger, violence, confusion and frustration.” Those emotions are highly evident on “The Rat,” a monstrous track which Mass also delivered a video for today.
The Dan Tombs-edited video showcases Blanck Mass traversing through an amusement park boat ride, none-too-enamored with the playful cartoon characters and decadence. As the monstrous drums thud against mysterious, strangely enchanting synth pucks, Blanck keeps a straight face throughout the video, which showcases his entire ride – save for a quick cut to what looks like a swarm of worms. Blanck described the video as a metaphor for “discontent within a capitalist regime and a world full of sugar-coated sh*t.” “The Rat” is a raw, energetic protest to that menagerie if there ever was one.
