Edison, "Civil War"

Post Author: Ian Schneider
Edison, a Denver based band consisting of Sarah Slaton (singer/guitarist), Dustin Morris (multi-instrumentalist), and Maxwell Hughes (Grammy nominated guitarist, formally of The Lumineers), have a new video for their single “Civil War”, directed by the amazing Justan Floyd. Edison has an indie folk-rock sound that is heavily present in this single.
“My head, my heart, are waging a civil war”, this is the chorus that is belted out by every member of the group, arousing the emotions concerning the difficulties of indecision.  The intimate video is shot in black and white and what seems to be single room where the trio performs “Civil War”.  Cuts of closeups of the members and the instruments reign supreme, invoking the passion that was put into this art.
“Civil War” can be found on Familiar Spirit, out via Rhyme & Reason Records. The band will be playing a can’t miss show at Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado on June 12th. You can find more information on Edison’s website.
