Texture and structure are forced to a draw on this track "Fields of Dreams", which means everyone wins where Future Shuttles are concerned. That binary division between song and pure sound is real and serves as a template for the trio of Brooklyn gals Camilla Padgitt-Coles, Jessa Farkas, and Lizzie Harper , as they layer synths and samplers and a flute against slowly settling vocal cues. Pretty stuff. Since at least two of the three members attended Oberlin, I can't help visualizing a tree of texture and beat branching somewhere from Teengirl Fantasy and pointing at this more ambient testing ground for surprising and willowy soundscape. The track comes off their recent Waters Edge EP, which you can check here.
