Premiere: Happy Noose, “Pictures In My Mind”

I’m sure Joy Division never imagined that their scrapped and unreleased track “Pictures in My Mind” would be accompanied by what might possibly be the most gratifying piece of video to be released. Retro punksters Happy Noose compiled a montage of crash dummies driving cars into walls and falling off bikes testing the failed “hoodie airbags,” as a music video for their Joy Division cover from their latest EP Amagosa. A tribute to the trio’s biggest influence, the band takes an unreleased home recording and condenses it into a two-minute version they can call their own. Raw, fuzzy guitars and bellowing vocals characterize the band's sound while also doing justice to the signature 70s postpunk sound of Joy Division.

Happy Noose's Amagosa EP can be picked up at their Bandcamp.
