Helado Negro, “Relatives”

Heladro Negro frontman, Roberto Carlos Lange, begins a tour this week to perform cuts from his third album, Invisible Life, and to get us ready for a mindbending and calming landscape of sound, there is now a video for "Relatives". The song, which features light-toned alto vocals from Jon Philpot of Bear In Heaven, is a slow-pulsing low-key affair that builds gently to an abrupt ending. The video matches the disorienting, wilty tone of the song, as it shows Philpot and Lange singing at each other, away from each other, and next to each other in a cool-hued photobooth, as a collage of images and clips of a variety of mixed-bag footage flash by. It's a laidback beginning to your Tuesday and there is no chance that this song won't get stuck in your head.
