Lou Phelps ft. Jazz Cartier, "Come Inside"

Montreal’s Lou Phelps is looking to ride the wave of success earned by his exceptional 001: Experiments project. It’s telling that the title of the Juno Award-nominated project has three digits. If Phelps is looking to reach 100, starting 2018 on the fast track is a good idea. Hence “Come Inside,” the well-regarded, Kaytranada-produced single Phelps has dropped – and now given a video.
Phelps flows effortlessly to the object of his affection on the house-driven record, linking with Toronto’s Jazz Cartier who does the same. The video starts out with Phelps as a couch potato and a late night host, leading the proceedings and rhyming smoothly over Kaytranada’s thumping drums. Once he sees a shady infomercial, the well-crafted video then takes a darker turn, firmly juxtaposing the bright production.
Come Inside is a gleaming showcase of what Phelps has to offer on his eventual (?) 002 project and beyond.
