In the about section of Mr. Muthafuckin' eXquire's video for "Orbz: a.k.a. Some Wise Quote Drake Never Said" he writes "Please dont start saying I'm dissing Drake, I'm not dissing Drake dumbass". With its opening bars lifted from Kendrick's "Swimming Pools" and the presence of Drake's name in the title, the track baits us to consider it laden with disses, but the most biting criticism eXquire issues on "Orbz" are directed the falsely spiritual and to some extent himself. On "Orbz" for every braggart's tale, eXquire lapses into an aside expressing paranoia that follows him even into success.
Mr. Muthafuckin' eXquire's Kismet remains one of our favorite records of the year afte taking top honors in the month of June. eXquire is revisiting the project with an expanded version that features previously unreleased tracks with Chance The Rapper, The Alchemist, and Thundercat. The expanded edition, entitled Kismet: Blue Edition, also includes commentary in which eXquire calls Kismet a "spiritual enema". So there's that.
