Premiere: Frankie and the Witch Fingers – “Work” video

Post Author: Jeff Cubbison

Los Angeles garage-psych stars Frankie and the Witch Fingers are one of the most joyously fun rising bands in music. Their latest album ZAM is a raucous sonic roller-coaster full of explosive tunes and trippy vibes, and one of the very best albums of the year. We were also huge fans of their delirious claymation video for album highlight “I Am Underneath You.” And today, the band has released another video clip, a frenetic touring vid for the awesome ZAM single “Work.”

The video compiles footage from several shows on their last tour, spliced together and edited perfectly to the track’s careening rhythm. We veer from one show to the next amidst a flurry of energetic concert footage and zany road shenanigans, as well as backstage shots of the band members loading gear and mugging for the camera. It’s the perfect tour vid, complete with blurry close-ups, disorienting crowd energy, and effervescent colors and visuals. The clip’s release also coincides with the group’s world tour, which kicks off today  in Santa Cruz and moves onto Europe in a couple weeks. You can check out those dates below.
