Sunset Harbinger, “Glass Jar”

The LA-based future-pop electronic band Sunset Harbinger released an album called Finally Home this past June via their Bandcamp. The band, which has been compared to Hiatus Koyote, is an “eight-piece supergroup” which aims to explore “the circumstances of the human quest for love and companionship.”

Now, watch the lyric video for the second single off the album, called “Glass Jar.” The lyric video uses paint strokes and other visual textures to embody the richness of the downtempo single.

“‘Glass Jar’ is a song about the genesis of identity, self-awareness and the complexities of love, and how sometimes, you just need things spelled out,” elaborates the band. “The lyric video, directed by Aaron Marshall, echoes that exact idea. His use of colorful paints and patterns are a nice juxtaposition to the ghostly sounds in the track.”
