The Eiffels, “You Got Me”

Indie pop trio The Eiffels – comprised of Sean Ulbs, Lee Marciniak, and Jade Michael – is giving us a glimpse into their brooding love song “You Got Me” with their latest music video. Check out the exclusive premiere right here.

The video starts out slow motion, with the guys climbing the stairs to an open playing space. The video is relatively simple, with the band playing for the camera in this space, flashing to visuals of a woman walking alone on the streets of the city. The biggest thing to note in the video itself is that all scenes that have this woman in them take place at night, when it’s dark. When she isn’t around, they are playing in the light of day, as if perhaps she has consumed him and brought him into the dark. It’s an interesting play on color association and emotions.

“It’s a cautious love song about the rollercoaster of emotions that come with infatuation,” The Eiffels elaborate. “We shot the performance piece of the video in a downtown Los Angeles studio. The rest of the video was shot in the nearby city streets. Our favorite videos usually have a performance component, so we wanted to create something that centered around our playing, along with some glimpses into the story and its phantom-like muse.”
