The Kenyan contingent of the multi-national benga/rock group Extra Golden were detained in a Paris airport on their way to the Stop Spot Festival in Linz, Austria. Unable to convince customs authorities that they were part of an ensemble bound for the international music festival, they were detained overnight and accused of not carrying enough money.
Apparently, Austrian custom authorities wrangled a release for Opiyo Bilongo, Onyango Wuod Omari and Onyango Jagwas, and they made their way to Linz for the festival.
