Listen: Bird Names

Post Author:

Birdnames have been around since 2004 but they now have the unique distinction among Chicago-based band to currently have a limited run album out on Baltimore's Wham City label-collective-thang entitled Open Relationship LP. More on that at the Wham City Records page.

Chicago indeed: in 2005 the band (or principal song writer David Lineal) wrote an album to Rod Blagojevich entitled FOR THE LOVE OF ROD. Download it here.

Their latest crop of songs meld unfettered psych ward ambience with fuzzy tune-based tracks of semi-precious rock polyphony and the occasional crowd blazer (see the Eastern stomp-time anthem “People Should Get More Aware”).
