Bebetunes is also the name of a Spanish-language baby instrument company. They have tiny glockenspiels and bongo drums for babies to use to make noise that never, no, never annoys their blessed parents. This probably has nothing to do with James Ferraro's choice of this name, but I just wanted to mention it.
The first Bebetunes mixtape from Ferraro is a grimy, oily mix of purple poison hip hop and the artists' trademark '90s synth swoops, all slowed down to an almost crunk tempo and released from it's reptilian cage. It's available for Mediafire download on the Bebetunes tumblr, along with a bunch of videos, photographs, and the promise of an essay called “Human Fly” coming sometime in 2012.
