It won't take more than one spin of this mp3 to know the ledge; "Vinyl Spin" is classic flavor and further proof Robust is one of Chicago's most gifted rhyme-writers.
Robust left this cut off his under-appreciated digital album Grown, released earlier this year on Galapagos 4. I joked that Grown sounded like a D.I.T.C. record, but it seems Robust's producer Max is a fiend for that 90's New York sound. "Vinyl Spin" sounds like a Mecca & The Soul Brother b-side, which only speaks to the strength of Grown. He did not have a place on the record for this quality cut.
Lucky for all of you, Robust is feeling the holiday spirit early and gave this mp3 up for free.
