Tough Knuckles, "While We're on the Phone"

The circumstances make this Tough Knuckles track pretty heart-wrenching but the melancholy guitar arpeggios were already the haunted bit of "While We're on the Phone", a track that quips big pop quotes and tender puppy love.
It'll appear on Vanna White, the band's album recorded and completed before the untimely passing of guitarist Ariel Panero. This past weekend saw a two-night fundraiser to release the album (on white vinyl, no less) by Famous Class, the label behind many of your favorite Brooklyn party bands. The show was packed on Saturday, and completely sold out by 10:30pm for the initial Friday event. (That was the one where These Are Powers officially broke up.)
