Yuck to debut self-titled LP in February

Yuck debut LP on Fat Possum

London shoegaze-cum-jangle-pop quartet (phew!) Yuck is set to release their self-titled debut LP on February 15, courtesy of Fat Possum.

Yuck is barely a year old, and their sound is still refreshingly varied from track-to-track. "Georgia" is a Surfer Bloodian joyride under a bass-y Dinosaur Jr. sun, while "Suicide Policeman" has the vocal intimacy of a Girls' track plus the added bonus of an actual girl's backing vocals matching sad guitar licks.

"Rubber" takes a different road altogether--it's a heavy, slow burner with heart. Equal parts fuzz and persistent melodies. Not too fast to miss the chorus' incantations, not too slow that you can't bang your ringing head.
