Foot Village, “Erecting the Wall of Separation”

In a new video from the art-and-music collective Foot Village, there is a pulsating power in only drums, vocals, and found vintage footage. The way that pieces of old VHS shots from infomercials, public access television, and home videos feel when they are pieced together with purpose is alarming and effective, especially as tough beats and mawpy vocals accelerate in the background. It can be a disarming video to watch, so have your wits about you while you indulge. It also serves the nostalgia centers of your brain, if that is also up your alley.
