We’re not very spiritual people, but we’re pretty sure God was handling the visuals for our SxSW day show at the Grackle on Saturday, March 15. While the shoegaze of Bully, La Luz, Weekend and Pains of Being Pure at Heart permeated the air, the sky remained grey and overcast. But the moment we shifted to hip-hop, the sun started creeping out. Slowly it peeked through the clouds during YC the Cynic’s set, a bit more during the Hellfyre Club tour set, before fully revealing itself for the sunny California vibes of People Under the Stairs. Then the Range and araabMuzik tore the house down. Here’s how our photographers Rift Gardiner and Dylan Johnson saw it.
A giant thank you goes out to everyone who helped pull off each 2014 Austin Imposition show, and a special thank you to DKC Incite, The Needle Drop and Luvo for making our Saturday show such a huge success. Until next year!
