FESTIVAL BEAT: Deer Shed Festival in North Yorkshire

The fest returns to Baldersby Park with The Coral, Bombay Bicycle Club, CMAT & more

Music festivals in the UK come in all shapes, sizes and varieties, and with a remarkably warm start to February, we’re already looking towards the summer. North Yorkshire’s Deer Shed Festival has just dropped its second wave of artist announcements for its 14th edition, set to take place from July 26th to 29th at Baldersby Park in Topcliffe.

Among the newly revealed acts are the renowned Scottish singer-songwriter King Creosote, whose return after seven years promises to be a highlight of the festival. Collaborating with multi-instrumentalist Derek O’Neill, King Creosote brings his latest album I, Des, offering a blend of introspective lyricism and captivating melodies.

Joining him on the bill is the soulful Jalen Ngonda, whose dynamic performances have earned him acclaim worldwide. Ngonda has been described as a “seasoned veteran” despite his young age

Gracing the Deer Shed stage once again is John Francis Flynn, whose traditional Irish folk tunes have won over crowds in the past.

These artists join an already impressive lineup including headliners Bombay Bicycle Club, The Coral, and CMAT, making Deer Shed Festival 2024 an event not to be missed.
