Local Natives at 9:30 Club

Indie rock staples put on captivating show in D.C.

After a venue change to the fabulous 9:30 Club, and a delayed start, Local Natives treated their DC fans to a phenomenal setlist, perhaps the best of the whole tour. At the request of their lighting designer, they played “Cards and Quarters” for the first time in 10 years, covered the essentials from each of their three albums, and played some songs released since their last tour in 2019. The band mentioned that a bus fire almost got in the way of this tour, but they were luckily able to continue their streak of zero cancelled shows. If you have a chance to see Local Natives, do it. They are phenomenal every time.
