RadioBlack, RadioBlack

The influence of the Foo Fighters runs heavy through the debut self-titled album from RadioBlack, who recorded their record in the Foo Fighters’ private studio, Studio 606. RadioBlack have put forth a big, heavy, rock n’ roll album, pulling comparisons to Nirvana, Incubus and the rest of the 90s grunge and rock scene. Released May 12, this should be added to the collection of any rock fan who may have muttered that rock n’ roll is dead. It’s not and RadioBlack helps prove it.
With TJ Courtney on vocals and taking the lead on songwriting and Smile Empty Soul’s Derek Gledhill on drums and professional touring bass player Hayato Takano, the band is a group of alternative rock powerhouses. The tracks are pure rock id and would make great alternative radio hits, playing along The Offspring, Audioslave, and the like.
Rolling drums and Courtney’s growling vocals weaving in and out just beg for these songs to be played to a sold-out stadium. Sure to stick in your head after the amp stops buzzing, RadioBlack have made a great selection of 12 tracks of high-energy rock.
