Minnesota rapper/producer Stefon Alexander, aka P.O.S., has been riding the wave of success of his recent Chill, dummy album, and now he’s going to share the good vibes onstage. He’s taking his radical lyricism on the road for a three month tour of the south, midwest and west coast alongside B L A C K I E. Along with announcing the tour, he dropped a video for “Thieves/Kings,” a standout track from the album.
P.O.S. deftly delves into the dualities of life with lines like, “we could live like thieves, we could live like kings/they could be the same thing” over urgent, grinding production. The Kron-directed video is a labyrinthic visual feast, with flickering colors and choppy videography depicting P.O.S. in a range of backdrops. The music video does a strong job of matching the track’s energy, as the screen seemingly fractures and transitions as the gloomy percussion churns about. You can see the dates for his tour below.
