Yvette, “Radiation”

Ideal attributes for a song don't typically include out-of-pocket snare hits, unresolved dissonance, or metallic screeches. However, sometimes that’s just what art-rock gives us, and sometimes a band might just pull it off well enough to capture our attention. The Brooklyn-based Yvette does it better that anyone out there, pairing their wildly expressionistic track “Radiation” with a montage video of ravaged and abandoned homes, factories, and forestland. The chilling but fitting video, wrought with artistic statements similar to the music, invites and dares you to extract what you can from it.

Yvette’s debut album Process is out now via GODMODE. Head here to read up on the label's history and upcoming releases.
