Cities Aviv's nocturnal rhythms

By Blake Gillespie » The memphis framework continues to evolve through Aviv.

Wet Dream Cities Aviv

Memphis' Cities Aviv distorted the ever-loving hell out of a 50's-ish R&B cut that sounds like a lady singing a Roy Orbison song. The source material is irrelevant once Cities Aviv brings in the heavy drops and chops up the vocals. Entitled "Wet Dreams", the track employs techniques Juicy J perfected to put Memphis on the map, while Cities Aviv goes a step further with his dance sensabilities on the 808s and runs the vocals through a gauntlet of filters. "Wet Dreams" is a bit chilly, which prompts Cities Aviv to drop a verse about the end of summer.
