Seattle groups USF and Witch Gardens have collaborated on a new track called "I'm Not Dead, I'm Just Having Fun" for a compilation being released by Cairo, a multi-use art space and record label in town. The track combines USF's dreamy electronic mind melts with a little bit of bedroom sing-song purity by Witch Gardens. A total of eight musicians worked to create this six-minute landscape in the wind, which starts out with a conversation about "you know, death" and moves into a story about a ghost who is ready to have a nice little get-together. It's a sparkly bit of twee-pop that is the cheeriest song about dying in 2011, probably.

The compilation will be released this weekend in conjunction with Cairo's annual EXPO festival, and the whole thing can be listened to here.
