Jailbox, “Whole”

Michael Brummett

“Whole” is a new single from St. Louis collective Jailbox, featuring a sense of elegance and powerful emotion. Following a two year break, the Missouri-based group came back together to create what feels like a tightly-knit acoustic, percussive story. Channeling a relatable ‘what could have been’ structure, “Whole” serves as a great followup to their recently released “Idea Jar”.

Former basement-recorders Andrew Tanz (vocals, keyboards, guitar, bass, percussion), Joseph Bassa (vocals, guitar, percussion), Aaron Essner (percussion, drums), and Trent Dickerson (bass, vocals) formed in 2009. “Whole” can be streamed below in early-access, as it officially releases December 9th.
